Ballylaggan Reformed Presbyterian Church
Ballylaggan RPC is a local Christian church in Aghadowey, near Coleraine, seeking to worship God faithfully and make Jesus Christ known in our community.
We are part of the wider Reformed Presbyterian Church (RPC), a denomination rooted in the historic Christian faith and the Protestant Reformation. That means we believe the Bible is God’s Word — reliable, authoritative, and central to everything we believe and do. Our preaching, teaching, and worship are shaped by Scripture.
We believe that God is real — not distant or abstract — but the Creator and Sustainer of all things. We believe that Jesus Christ is not only a teacher from history, but the risen Lord and King. He is King over the Church, over the nations, and over every part of life. Christianity is not just a private belief, but a truth that speaks to our homes, our work, our society, and our future hope.
At the heart of our message is good news: that through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, forgiveness and new life are freely offered to all who trust in Him.
We are an ordinary group of people who gather each week to worship God, learn from the Bible, pray together, and encourage one another in faith. Whether you are a committed Christian, exploring faith for the first time, or simply curious, you are very welcome to come and see what we are about.
As a Reformed Presbyterian church, we try to shape our worship and our lives by the Bible. We’re not perfect, but we’re sincere, and we want to be a place where people can listen, ask questions, and feel welcome—even if you’re unsure what you believe.
If you’re curious, searching, or just wanting to come and see, you’re very welcome.

The church is for ordinary people.
It’s not for people who have everything figured out, and it’s not just for those who grew up religious. Church is a place for anyone who wants to explore who Jesus is, ask honest questions, and think seriously about life, purpose, forgiveness, and hope.
We believe Christianity is good news — not about becoming better by your own effort, but about what God has done through Jesus Christ. So whether you’re curious, sceptical, struggling, or simply looking for community, you are welcome to come, listen, and see for yourself.
You don’t need to believe before you walk through the door.
-
Yes — our church building is fully wheelchair accessible.
There is step-free access into the building and accessible seating inside. If you have any specific needs or would like assistance when you arrive, please feel free to get in touch — we’re very happy to help.

When you visit, you can expect a warm welcome and a relaxed, respectful atmosphere.
Our service includes singing, prayer, Bible reading, and a sermon that explains what the Bible teaches and how it applies to everyday life. The service usually lasts about an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. You won’t be asked to speak, pray out loud, or give money as a visitor.
People dress in a range of styles — some more formal, some more casual — so come as you are. After the service, many people stay to chat, and you’re very welcome to join in or head off if you prefer.
If it’s your first time, you don’t need to know when to stand or sit — just follow along as you feel comfortable.
-
Yes — children are very welcome.
We’re glad when families come along, and we love having children in the building. They’re part of the church community too. Depending on the service, there may be activities or teaching suited to younger children, and parents are always free to step out if needed.
Don’t worry about a bit of noise or movement — we understand that children are children, and you won’t be made to feel uncomfortable.
-
No — there is no charge to attend.
We don’t expect visitors to give money. During the service there may be an opportunity for members of the church to give financially, but that’s part of their commitment to support the church’s work. If you’re visiting, please feel no pressure at all to contribute.
You are welcome to come and listen free of charge.

There isn’t a dress code.
Some people dress smartly, others come more casually. You won’t stand out either way. We want you to feel comfortable, so simply wear what you would normally wear when going somewhere respectful.
Come as you are — you don’t need to dress up to be welcome.
